If there is one thing that I have learnt throughout all my years of magickal practise, it’s that Spirit allies are often times our best teachers.  When we can learn to quiet our mind long enough to receive them, the fountain of gnosis that they have to offer is endless. Back in 2021, while sitting with the Monkshood in my garden, it showed me how to invoke the Cloak of Hekate which this baneful ally is strongly associated with.  When we transverse liminal spaces, it is often best to we do so unseen, as not to attract unwanted attention; either from other spirits or from other people who may be adept enough to sense our presence in the other realms. When working with Hekate specifically to cloak us, we are invoking a power of a Goddess to whom nearly all spirits revere (as far as I’ve experienced it, anyways).

These soy candles are deep purple in colour to honour the Dark Goddess herself. They are fixed at the base with dandelion root to assist in entering Her realms of the dead. The pitch black veil on each candle is infused with Monkshood; poured over each candle while words of magickal intent were spoken.  They rest in Graveyard dirt, and were worked for three nights under the dark moon through very specific instructions of consecration directly from Hekate.

Burn these candles as part of your ritual or spell work when you desire to go unnoticed in the other realms. This can be helpful in works of exorcism, curse breaking, and evoking spirits in Her name. If you are so inclined, this would also be helpful while working black magick (though it’s not something I ever recommend, but life happens and sometimes you have to look after your own in any way necessary).
